The dashboard light, which is designed to alert drivers to airbag malfunctions, may become loose or dislodged—posing a potential risk of drivers missing critical safety alerts.
The company will fix the issue by installing a retaining clip, free of charge, at authorized dealerships. This recall adds to a growing list of 2025 Ford safety actions, as the automaker has already recalled over 4 million vehicles this year for various defects.
Ford urges Maverick owners to check their VINs online and schedule their repairs immediately to ensure airbag systems function properly in case of an accident.
